Our Story

The journey of Sanchiya to Sanchiya Creation Pvt. Ltd. is a story of passion, growth, and vision. Founded in 2004 by the esteemed senior journalist, lyricist, theatre director, and writer Kumar Vijay, Sanchiya began as a small theatre group in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), dedicated to the power of art and storytelling.
As time progressed, Sanchiya expanded its horizons, evolving into a multi-faceted entity. The group evolved into Sanchiya Trust, a platform for social causes; launched Sanchiya (Sach ki Awaj), a news portal committed to truth and transparency; introduced In City Info, an information-based directory website serving local needs; and published Sanchiya Samay, a newspaper aimed at spreading knowledge and awareness.
In the next chapter of its journey, Sanchiya is now stepping forward as Sanchiya Creation Pvt. Ltd., under the leadership of renowned socialist and social worker Dr. Sanjay Sonkar and Kumar Vijay. This transition marks the company’s commitment to organizing its efforts more efficiently and professionally, with the aim of making an even greater impact in the fields of entertainment and information.

Kumar Vijay is a multifaceted creative professional whose work spans journalism, theatre, cinema, and music. Since 2004, he has been consistently contributing to the cultural and media landscape with depth, vision, and commitment.
He is widely recognized for his impactful journalism focusing on issues of social justice. His writings and reports have amplified important voices and brought critical conversations into the mainstream, establishing him as a credible and influential journalist.
In the creative realm, Kumar Vijay has directed over a dozen stage plays, many of which explore themes of social reality and human emotion with powerful storytelling.
As a lyricist, he gained national recognition when he was nominated for the Mirchi Music Award in 2017 in the “Best Upcoming Lyricist” category — a clear reflection of his poetic and musical talent.

Dr. Sanjay Sonakar
